We love London and so it’s always a pleasure to hear from our foreign students living in London and we thought you would like to hear more about their experience.
London is known for its rich history, cultural diversity and cosmopolitan way of life and is booming, with substantial growth year on year.
Home to not only some of the very best attractions and venues in the world, London boasts a number of the league table’s top Universities. With 25% of London residents born outside of the UK, totaling 300 languages spoken throughout the city, it is hardly surprising that International Students now make up over a quarter of the capital’s student population!
Did you know… Home to over 100,000 international students from 200+ nations, London is home to more international students than any other city in the world?
So, what is it about London that is so appealing to international students?
Claiming three of the top 10 museums and galleries in the world, alongside over 800 art galleries, London is bursting with rich culture. This diversity plus the city’s breadth of languages not only aids, but encourages friendships and relationships to blossom, allowing you to make friends, share your experiences and study in the best city in the world.
London isn’t just full of museums and art galleries, however, it has thousands of restaurants, bars and even four world heritage sites! Those being The Tower of London, Maritime Greenwich, Westminster Palace and Kew Gardens.
Alongside your University studies, take the opportunity to attend a range of fantastic public lectures, which can be enjoyed completely free of charge.
While proximity doesn’t necessarily give you an advantage on securing that first graduate job, London is home to many of the biggest graduate employers, so having a base in London is certainly a real advantage when applying for internships during the holidays.
