For the people who aren’t in the Halloween mood already, here is a short story on one of London’s biggest unsolved mysteries.

It’s 1888, London is terrorised by fear, there is a serial killer on the loose. The killings are malicious targeting helpless women. With the precision of a surgeon the murderer cuts the victims open with their organs spread over the street leaving them for dead. You probably already know which iconic figure we are talking about. There are many stories about his crimes and motives but after hundreds of years, so far, nobody could figure out what exactly happened during this frightening period. Today we share one of the possible theories of Jack the Ripper.

It all began with the secret relationship between Prince Albert Victor and a girl named Annie Elizabeth Crook. After having a child together, they had to hide the baby in complete secret to prevent a potential revolution. A catholic baby girl, the royal heir to the throne without full royal blood. To prevent the “truth” from being spread, the prime minister at that point ordered a raid on the apartment of Annie Elizabeth, who was living with her Prince along with her daughter. After invading the place and taking the two love birds apart, Annie was declared insane. She lived the rest of her life in mental institutions, while someone else was now taking care of the daughter in secret. The caretaker, Kelly, however, turned to the government along with her friends to blackmail them. These 5 ladies turned out to become the victims of the famous Ripper. All these murders were however, staged by the government to prevent the story about Albert’s secret daughter to leak out into the public.
