Cheerful January Events for the Winter Blues!

Cheerful January Events for the Winter Blues!

We know January isn’t exactly the brightest and cheeriest of months. The sun sets well before 5pm and it basically feels like most of the days are cast in dark, grey clouds. BUT, that doesn’t mean London doesn’t have plenty of winter cheer to enjoy.

Here’s what I’ve found for the month of Jan. Will we see you there?

Hip Hop Karaoke, Tate Modern
Jan.12-Mar. 9, 2019

So technically, this isn’t just a January thing — you have three chances to visit when the Tate is open Late January-March. If you’ve ever fancied yourself a hip hop artist or R&B singer, now’s your time to shine! Word is there are a ton of classics and rare jams to choose from. Does singing in front of strangers make it more or less intimidating?

Brixton Vintage Kilo Sale, Pop Brixton
Jan. 12-13, 2019

It’s back! For just £15 you can snag a whole kilo worth of clothes. They’ve seriously got everything from quirky vintage finds to denim, sports clothes and shoes. It’s free to pop in and opens at 11am at Pop Brixton. Peep the Facebook event page.

Vegan Afternoon Tea, OXO Tower
Jan. 2-31, 2019

Kick your healthy New Year’s resolution off to the right start with a cheeky, plant-based Afternoon Tea! Even if you’re not a vegan (we don’t judge), you can still enjoy the classic sandwiches and sweets with a veggie twist. Plus, can you beat the view from OXO Tower? Starts from £35pp so this might be a splurge event.

What’re you up to this January? Let us know what we’re missing out on!
