A Night Out In Hammersmith
What to do and where to go — that always seems to be the question on many young minds once the weekend rolls around. London is an adult playground and there’s literally so many options, it can be hard to narrow it down to just a night’s worth.
In Hammersmith, there’s a bustling nightlife of bars, pubs and clubs. Here’s just some of the highlight reel:
Most Popular Pub: Carpenter’s Arms
A community hub, which means there’s never a dull moment on the weekends. With fair prices and a simple menu, you don’t have to fear any posh, ritzy vibes here. A true favorite among locals, so don’t be surprised if you spot more than a few reserved signs during dinner time.
Least Traditional Pub: The Atlas
Bonus points for offering Quiz Nights every Tuesday starting at 8PM! The Atlas truly delivers an excellent experience every time — Mediterranean-style eats with traditional, wood interior design and lovely outdoor terrace seating.
Budget-Friendly: Swan
Traditional pub vibes with student-friendly prices. Double win! After going out Saturday night, come back Sunday afternoon for a tasty roast lunch for under £12 (vegetarian options included.) The owner is apparently a gin and ale connoisseur, so they’ve got a specialty selection, if G&T is your thing.
Best Music: O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire
At this massive venue, you can check out any number of live music or comedy shows. This summer there’s several big names coming to Hammersmith, including Feist, Macy Gray and Kate Nash. This place has been around for over a century and is an important landmark in London music and nightlife.
